Youth Classes
​Youth classes are offered in a fun, safe environment to children ages 4 and up of all fitness levels. Karate is a fun, engaging activity which burns tons of energy while teaching children self-discipline, respect and situational awareness. Beyond health benefits, training karate can also increase your child’s ability to focus and develop their self-confidence. Karate is a fun, healthy activity, and it also teaches interpersonal skills that can be used in all areas of life.

Classes usually begin with warm up exercises and stretching. Then, kids learn how to perform basic techniques (blocks, kicks, punches, etc.) with proper form, speed and power. Students also learn forms, or kata, a series of set movements designed to defend against imaginary attackers. Training kata develops coordination, memory and discipline. Partner work is also an important component of training, during which students work with each other to develop their techniques with a target in a controlled setting. This type of training develops respect for others and their ability to work together.

Bring your child to try a class! Please arrive fifteen minutes before class begins to complete an intake form. Please have him or her wear comfortable athletic clothes; a free uniform will be given to new students. We invite you as well to come have a seat, observe a class is like and speak with our instructors and students.

Dues: $90/month, includes a free uniform. Family discount available.
